where did it all begin?
I started my journey as a portrait photographer in 2010 after studying design & photography at San Diego State University.
Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of capturing timeless moments for families, expectant mothers, entrepreneurs, and adorable children as they reach significant milestones.
Photography has become my joy and my passion in life. I feel honored to create beautiful portraiture for local families and those who visit San Diego for special occasions!

Besides being a photographer, I'm a dedicated mother to a teenager and a loving owner of a Cavapoo dog named Lua, which translates to "moon" in Portuguese.
My dog, close-knit friends and family are a tremendous source of inspiration and joy in my life, and there's nothing I cherish more than sharing delicious meals and creating enduring memories with them.
WHat DOES 'SEREIA' MEAN?
'Sereia' means 'mermaid' in Portuguese, a childhood fascination of mine.
The name Sereia Photography is a callback to the sense of magic, creativity and awe mermaids inspired in me as a kid – qualities I aspire to instill in every image I create.

I shoot with 2 cameras, which means I constantly have two full-frame camera bodies in operation simultaneously: Canon EOS R6 & Canon 5D Mark III DSLR.
Every session finds me equipped with my three favorite Canon L-series lenses, spanning a range from wide to long: the 85mm prime, the versatile 24-105mm zoom, and my latest favorite, the 70-200mm telephoto lens.
